Each year we love to host a memorable event that will kickstart the Cape Town Summer Season – and this year was no exception.

The Smiths have now owned Beluga for a little over two years and originally made only a few menu additions to spice it up without rocking the boat.

This time we rocked the boat!

While we’ve kept many of the old favourites (and will probably do so forever because they’re just amazing), we have also revamped a few of the dishes and in some cases just redone it completely.

As always, we have tried our best to continue the Vegan dream and have made a large effort to add more vegan options into our kitchen and dessert menu section.

We are incredibly excited about all our new additions to the menu, our Chef “Mo’ Flavour” has really outdone himself and challenged the team with his fantastic creativity.

About The Relaunch

What an absolutely fantastic event! We are so grateful to all our loyal sponsors and attendees, who truly made the event special.

A special thank you goes out to Shimansky, Porsche, IQOS, GlenMorangie, Southern Comfort Black, Steenberg Wines, Plaisir de Merle Wines, Nederburg Wines, Durbanville Hills Wines, Roku Gin, Courvoisier, Macallan, Boschendal, Cruxland Gin, Bombay Gin, San Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, Bayline Seafoods and Raw Naturally Nutricious , who made the evening extra special for all those who attended.

The evening commenced with welcome bubbly from Boschendal and the opportunity to win a Shimansky Tanzanite pendent if the Cubic Zirconia in your welcome glass was the winning ‘ticket’.

Awesome tunes from DJ Funky G echoed through the courtyard, as guests indulged in wine, whisky, gin and more; and tantalized their taste buds on the new dishes available and of course our famous sushi.

OysterKing were on the ground, shucking our fresh West Coast oysters to the guest’s content while they enjoyed the magic and mentalism that the great Larry Soffer has to offer.

We want to thank all the suppliers who were involved, as well as all the guests and media who attended this auspicious occasion. We are so excited to get the Summer Season going and look forward to hosting everyone again!
